Dr. Markquada Meju

I’m originally from Southwest Louisiana, and I’ve dedicated my career to providing high-quality, patient-centered dental care. I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in New York, where I received advanced training in restorative, endodontic, and surgical care.

Over the past nine years, I’ve worked in both private practice and community health settings, treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. I’m passionate about continuing education and have completed advanced training in endodontics, implant surgery and restoration, laser therapy, and digital dentistry. I believe great dentistry begins with trust, compassion, and attention to detail. My goal is to create a calm and comfortable environment where every patient feels heard, informed, and confident in their oral health decisions. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with family, exploring Houston’s latest restaurants, attending local festivals, traveling and learning about different cultures and traditions.

JoyceFront Office Coordinator: Joyce Backlund

Joyce is originally from Louisiana. She has a lot of knowledge of dental insurance since she has been in the dental field for over 15 years. She enjoys meeting our patients and making them feel comfortable. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren and cooking cajun food.

SaraHead Dental Assistant: Sara Ardon

Sara has been a dental assistant for 12 years. She loves meeting patients and helping patients develop their smile. Over the years, she has enjoyed learning the technological advances in dentistry. Sara is originally from El Salvador and speaks fluent spanish. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family. She has two boys in college.

JennHygienist: Jenn Butera

Jenn is passionate about her career. She loves educating patients about their oral health. She has an out going personality and is very gentle. She has 3 kids and enjoys her time off with them.

JessicaScheduling Coordinator: Jessica Naquin

Jessica may be the voice you hear when you call for an appointment. She is helpful and a great listener. When she is not busy with her 3 kids she enjoys watching movies.

Denise Hooser: Patient care coordinator

Denise brings more than 20 years of experience in the dental field and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and cared for during every visit. Originally from New Mexico, she moved to Texas in 2018 and now proudly calls it home. Denise is a proud mother of two and grandmother to seven grandchildren. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, running, and spending time walking her dogs.

Zenaida Guevara: Dental Assistant

Zenaida blends a genuine love for dental care with a deep appreciation for her family. Since 2019, she has used her bilingual skills and clinical expertise to ensure every patient receives top-tier care. Outside of work, she is a proud wife who loves her countryman and their shared roots and a devoted mother to their two girls. Together as a family, they fully embrace the beauty of country living and the outdoor lifestyle.
